Dr. Gabriella M. Alvarez is a tenure-track Professor in the Biological & Health Psychology Program at the University of Pittsburgh. As a social-affective neuroscientist, she studies how social determinants of health, such as race and socioeconomic position, are associated with neural and physiological processes that may ultimately influence health and produce inequities.
